FAQ

Q: What's a FAQ?

A: "FAQ" stands for "Frequently Asked Questions."

A question-and-answer format from the Internet's earliest days, it remains one of the most effective ways of conveying important information and satisfying a site visitor's curiosity.

You probably already know that the most-asked questions are usually the ones most worth asking - and most worth answering. A well-crafted FAQ can save you from having to respond to tons of email about the same question, over and over, every day. It can also educate your visitors about questions they wouldn't have thought to ask - many sophisticated Web users have learned that a site's FAQ is likely to tell them all they need to know about a topic.

Of course, FAQ answers needn't be all-encompassing...because this is the Web, and you can link a short answer to a longer one, which the reader can read if he wishes.

To do that, you'll need to know the URL (web address) of the page you want to link to - it will look like something like this:

http://www.yourcompany.com/p39.html

...which is what you'll enter into the lower field of the Link item.

It's also good for keeping your special offers or business hours in front of your audience.
